HMD Global has expanded its 5G product portfolio with new Nokia phones. The Nokia G60 was presented alongside the company's best Nokia X30 5G phone so far. It is a phone set at a more affordable price point, where efforts have been made to advance the features. The phone is mainly made of plastic. According to HMD Global, the back cover of the phone is 100 percent recycled plastic, but the body is 60 percent plastic. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Nokia G60 is 8.61 millimeters thick and weighs 190 grams. The phone is also dust- and splash-proof according to the IP52 classification. This phone will be available in two colors black and gray. It has a screen size of 6.58 inches and has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. In addition, the screen has a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 500 nits. The screen of the G60 is flat throughout and has a teardrop notch for the front camera. The Snapdragon 695 5G system chip developed by Qualcomm is responsible for the power, which is designed to offer good enough performance for basic use. The device offers 4 or 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64 or 128 gigabytes of internal storage based on the UFS 2.2 standard. The back of the phone has a triple camera consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. HMD Global's new AI innovations have been introduced into the camera, including Capture Fusion, which makes ultra-wide-angle images more detailed by combining the image from the main camera. Dark Vision and AI Portrait features are also supported. 8 megapixels is added at the front of the G60 by Nokia. The smartphone has a 4,500 mAh battery with 20 Watt fast charging. Other features include a fingerprint reader placed on the side, Bluetooth 5.1 and face recognition. The phone will run on the Android 12 operating system with a familiar update promise. The handset will also receive three Android version updates and security fixes published monthly for three years.
